Training Details
Parenting after separation, divorce, or changes in family structure can be challenging. Children often thrive when parents are able to communicate effectively, support healthy relationships, and make decisions that prioritize their child’s emotional, physical, and developmental needs. At the same time, not all families have the same circumstances. Some parents may have experienced high conflict, coercive control, domestic violence, or other safety concerns that require a different approach to co-parenting.
This training is designed to support and educate professionals when working with parents to better understand how their interactions affect their children and to develop practical skills that support healthier family functioning. Participants will learn how to guide clients regarding children’s unique developmental stages, emotional needs, and responses to family transitions as well as how to coach and guide clients with strategies to reduce conflict and improve communication.
